Parental involvement and participation is highly instrumental to the success of children's sustained health and wellness. Our Parent Involvement component of the program equips families with up-to-date information regarding nutrition, fitness, safety, illness prevention, and other health topics. Our professional staff present fun, family-centered activities and events to encourage greater interest and awareness in these important topics.
Encourage your school to include Health Talks during parent events. Health Talks take place onsite at your child’s school. We present information regarding preventive health topics along with providing helpful resources. Please join us if you are interested in learning about various preventive health topics in a relaxed environment. Health Talk sessions are only 30 minutes. Featured topics include Asthma Management, Poison Prevention, Lice Prevention, Childhood Obesity, Flu Prevention, or Immunization Awareness. Watch for flyers around the school or in your child’s backpack for upcoming Health Talk events!
The purpose of Blender Bike at Family Night events is to show parents what their child learned during the Blender Bike Class during the day. Students learn how many servings of dairy a day is recommended, MyPlate, reading food labels, and the energy it takes to make the Blender Bike operate to make a smoothie!
Action Based Learning (ABL) STEM allows students and parents to explore 6 different activities that focus on movement and incorporating STEM concepts. The activities can be adapted to assist with incorporating movement during homework!
